Steinvik Fiskefarm Visningssenter is located in beautiful Høydalsfjord near the towns of Florø and Førde. The centre is part of the family-owned Steinvik Fiskefarm, and one of the first viewing centres in Norway.

The centre is a practical display facility for the modern production of salmon and trout, and the dissemination of aquaculture history to the public.

We offer free, customised tours with a guide, depending on the age or type of group. The Vassbotten family, who are guides themselves, have long experience of fish farming and can tell you about the developments that have taken place in the aquaculture industry up to today’s modern production. At the centre, you can see an in-depth exhibition indoors, and you can also walk right out to the edge of the farm and see the salmon and trout with your own eyes.

Steinvik Fiskefarm Visning Centre has a firm tradition of welcoming school classes of different ages every year. In addition, we organise our popular Open Day on a Saturday in May every year, with many family-friendly aquaculture activities.
