SalMar’s display centre in Rørvik is located in Kystmuseet Norveg, one of the coast’s most distinctive landmark buildings.

WHAT:
Here you can immerse yourself in the Norwegian aquaculture industry through our interactive display centre, which opened in a new guise in 2023. With high-tech installations, expert interpreters and guided tours to the cage edge, you will be able to explore and form your own picture of the Norwegian aquaculture industry.

In the summer, in collaboration with the Norveg Coastal Museum, we offer the package ‘A unique journey through seafood history’, which is an adventurous boat trip where you can experience the salmon up close. The trip goes from Norveg, via the fish farming site of Bondøya, to the listed fishing village of Sør-Gjæslingan. On arrival at Sør-Gjæslingan, you’ll hear stories from the fishing village’s heyday, and the trip won’t be complete until you’re served a warm salmon packet in fantastic surroundings.
