The ocean as a resource is the theme of the visitor centre in Southern Norway, and consists of exhibitions at the science centre departments in Arendal and Kristiansand.

The major marine initiative is located in Arendal. The exhibition is divided into different zones with themes about the resources found in the sea, different professions, and myths and facts. The exhibition also allows you to encounter various dilemmas you have to consider when it comes to human management of marine resources. We want to contribute to increased knowledge and interest in the marine industries.

Our ambition is to be a meeting place where everyone with marine expertise can come together to share knowledge and solve problems. Through visits to the fish farm, exhibitions, activities and educational programmes, we want to contribute to more knowledge among children and young people, who in the long term will help to shape the industry in the future.
