Røvær Aquaculture Centre is located 25 minutes by speedboat from Haugesund. Røvær Fjordbruk’s salmon farms are a short boat ride from the quay at Røvær.

At Røvær Aquaculture Centre, you can learn more about the ocean nation of Norway and how we have developed into a world-leading producer of salmon.

The exhibition is compact and provides a simple introduction to major and exciting topics such as aquaculture, history, the environment and natural conditions. There are screens for immersion, games and activities. Here you can take the aquaculture quiz, visit the aquariums at Tranhuset, watch a film about life on the seabed, take the vocational test and find your job in aquaculture. And, of course, we’ll be organising a trip to the aquaculture facility.

Røvær Fjordbruk and Alsaker Fjordbruk are located behind Røvær Aquaculture Centre, and we are open all year round by appointment.
