Øygarden Visitor Centre is located in Blomvågen in Øygarden municipality, an hour’s drive from Bergen city centre.

The centre is run by the second and third generations of the Blom family, through Blom Fiskeoppdrett AS. The business was founded in 1971 by veteran fish farmer Andreas Blom, one of Norway’s pioneers in salmon and trout farming.

Here you can see the farming and production of high-quality salmon and trout that are sent out to the international market. The centre also provides information about the history of fishing and aquaculture, as well as serving food from the sea.

You’re welcome to take a boat trip around the centre if you like, or visit the museum shop.
