WHERE:
Engesund Fiskeoppdrett Visningssenter is located in Fitjar municipality, and is situated at the fish farm on the west side of Dyrholmen.

WHAT:
The centre has an exhibition where you get to wander around while hearing the history of Engesund and the fish farming industry. The exhibition takes you from the fish farming industry as it once was to today’s modern operations. The salmon’s life cycle, sustainable development, footprint and future are some of the topics you’ll learn about.

In addition, you can take a trip out to the cage to see the fish in the fish hatchery. Maybe you want to feed it? You’ll also get to taste a little bit of Engesund’s very own salmon and trout. Since the facility is launched, you can either get there by your own boat, or be picked up by our hosts in the RIB boats ‘Nylei’ or ‘Luso’.
