Why did you want to work in the aquaculture industry?

– I knew very little about the aquaculture industry when I graduated as a student in 2009 and started working at Grieg Seafood Finnmark. But what a journey it has been!

Best experience at work?

– It’s not possible to mention just one experience; there are so many! But being so fortunate to have been a leader in a workplace with employees from all over the world is something I feel great humility for. What I have learned from these people, who have incredible stories to tell, is something that has changed me as a person and that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Biggest challenges?

– After many years as a leader of such a complex department as the slaughterhouse, and with so many skilled and solution-oriented colleagues, there aren’t many challenges that stand out anymore. I try to focus on the opportunities instead, because there are many!

What is your advice to the boss?

– I can’t think of any advice for the boss; he has good control.

Your best tips for others who want to enter the industry?

– If you have already decided to work in the aquaculture industry, you should embrace all the opportunities it offers. You won’t regret it!

Wishes, dreams, plans for the next year?

– The dream for the next year is to build a house with a view of the sea.
